Learn how to organize perfume beautifully and functionally with stylish storage ideas that complement your home decor.
I love perfume! I’ve worn perfume since I was eight years old — yes, eight! Not a day goes by that I am not wearing fragrance, even if I am in sweats and don’t leave the house. Scent is directly linked to our emotions and memory. It’s why every time I smell Bounce dryer sheets, I think of my Mema (southern for grandma!). Everything from me to my home, my laundry, my car — you name it, is gonna smell good.
I used to be a buyer for a major department store and cosmetics was one of the areas I worked in. To say I had perfume overload is a major understatement. We got samples of every fragrance we sold and I had dozens of bottles. It was a little out of control!
Through the years, I have definitely narrowed down my perfume to a select few that I keep on repeat. My husband also has a couple different fragrances, so we needed a way to organize them that was functional and beautiful.
Learn how to organize perfume that complements your home decor below!
The Best Perfume Trays

I am a huge fan of trays for perfume organization. A tray is a beautiful decor piece that helps corral your perfume to keep your bottles neat and organized. Trays also come in many different materials and shapes, so there are a lot of options. Choose a tray that fits your home decor style. I’ve shared some of my favorites below.
Marble Perfume Tray
A marble perfume tray is a timeless and elevated way to organize your perfume. This tray will complement any style — literally! It’s that versatile. Choose a marble tray if you want a classic and high-end look for your perfume. I’ve linked mine above and some others I think are beautiful below.

Mirror Perfume Tray
A mirror perfume tray is also a beautiful choice. This feels a bit more glam to me, so choose this option if you’re looking for something a bit more contemporary and luxurious.

Wood Perfume Tray
A wood tray is the perfect perfume tray if your home decor style has an earthy modern or Boho feel. It’s also great for a minimalist style. Bamboo has a similar look to wood and can give the same vibe, so consider that as an option too!

Perfume Organization

If your perfume collection is huge, I don’t recommend displaying all of them if it’s going to look busy or crowded. If your perfume tray is hidden out of sight, it might be okay to display them all. Otherwise, I recommend only storing your favorites on your perfume tray and storing the others away. Hide them in a bathroom vanity drawer or a wicker basket in the closet.
Or better yet, go through your perfumes and determine if you need to toss some that you don’t wear anymore (or give them away!). I love a good perfume de-clutter and I’ve given away so much perfume over the years. Now, I only buy a few favorite fragrances that I rotate between.
I am obsessed with Jo Malone. Their scents are more clean and they smell insanely good. Wood Sage & Sea Salt is my signature scent but I rotate in a couple others depending on my mood. I also love Ambre Essence perfume oil. It’s one of my favorite travel scents and I literally get stopped by people asking me what I’m wearing!
